Activity Overview

Welcome to the Four Quarters Team Challenge! An indoor event to test your teams creativity, leadership and logical skills in four challenge zones. A great icebreaker event to get your teams working together in a different way.

It can be difficult planning Team Building activities that can be inclusive and involve everyone without being competitive. Four Quarters is a non-competitive event which still promotes teamwork and collaboration.

What Happens On The Day

Teams will have 30 minutes to strategize, delegate and get creative. The main purpose is to get participants working together in a creative yet non-competitive environment.

Four Quarters Challenge Zones –

  • The Egg Basket – With materials ‘purchased’ from our materials shop, teams must create a basket that can prevent their egg from breaking when dropped from a height! You only get one chance to protect your egg.
  • Canvas Art – With a giant canvas and acrylic paints, teams must add their own section to contribute to one final design. A great opportunity to have a company keepsake!
  • Music Mania – Using tablets, teams must recreate a music video. Song choices are Mamma Mia, Wannabe and The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars (fancy dress will be provided!). In the days after the event, we will send an edited video of your teams efforts
  • Think Outside The Box – A chance to be let loose with Lego! With free reign, teams must construct something using Lego. Whether it be a company logo or a Lego masterpiece, it’s a chance to let your creativity run wild.

The finale of the event will see everyone come together to view their completed projects and watch their eggs drop!

We hired RCE for a major student welcome event held by our department within the University of Birmingham (their “Crystal Challenge” event). Not only did the team adjust to the English language levels of our students and remained conscious of this throughout (our department specialises in helping with and preparing non-native English-learning students for UK higher education), but they were fun, witty, and passionate about what they do! The communication from their team was top notice and they were able to adjust when there were issues with numbers due to student arrival dates. As for the event itself, the reviews from both staff and students were phenomenal! We all had an absolutely AWESOME time! Thank you so much for making the first major event for our students a blast and for helping them to form friendships that are still going strong to this day! A great experience using Red Cactus events for our staff meeting. Emily is brilliant and orgnaised a perfect day for our team. From the first contact, to getting the booking in place- it was very easy and Emily was always contactable for questions.
We hosted a meeting in the morning and then a sports day theme in the afternoon, whcih was outsourced to an activity company. The set up worked really well, great venue, great organisation and perfect planning! Our team all loved it and thank you again Emily!
